Roland “ultimate” Tomkovyak has officially joined Betclic, transferring to the Polish team from Liquid. The 22-year-old sniper has filled the vacant AWP position, which had been open since the departure of Olek “hades” Miskiewicz.
Ultimate joined Liquid in July 2024 following successful performances with Illuminar. Early in his tenure with the American club, the Polish player drew attention with his aggressive sniper rifle playstyle, but his performance subsequently began to decline. This summer, Georgy “Jorko” Mitev took his place on the starting roster.
For Ultimate himself, the move to Betclic came as no surprise. Over the summer, he had already played alongside the team’s players on the Polish national team and helped them secure a spot in the Esports Nations Cup. Additionally, Betclic recently triumphed at the Stake Pulse tournament, where they defeated Liquid—with Jorko on their roster—in the grand final.
In recent months, the Polish organization has been actively working to stabilize its roster. In July, the club extended the contracts of Prism and Demho, and has now finalized the deal with its main sniper.
Betclic currently ranks 46th in the Valve Regional Standings. For ultimate, this transfer could be an opportunity to return to the top level and once again showcase the gameplay that originally caught Liquid’s attention.
