The Ukrainian national team has qualified for the Esports Nations Cup

The Ukrainian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang national team will compete in the main event of the Esports Nations Cup. The team secured its spot after defeating Poland 3–1 in the decisive qualifying match.

The qualifiers took place August 14–16 and were held in a double-elimination format. The Ukrainians began their campaign with a loss to Kazakhstan, which immediately sent them to the lower bracket. That was the end of their setbacks, however.

First, Ukraine defeated Greece 2–0, and then beat Kyrgyzstan by the same score. Their final opponent was Poland. The 3–1 victory allowed the Ukrainians to finish the qualifiers in the required position and secure their spot in the main stage of the Esports Nations Cup.

The national team’s roster consists of players from three clubs. Three representatives from Boars Gaming—Serhiy “Pelmetronio” Lysogor, Vladyslav “GODBELIEVER” Grabchenko, and Anton “stonix” Dragnyov. Lysogor plays on the gold lane and has previously reached 1,032 Mythical Immortal stars. Grabchenko is the winner of MEK Season 1.

The mid lane is occupied by Igor “Sensei” Khimyak from Minerva Fury. He has been playing MLBB since 2017 and previously represented Team Falcons, among others. The jungler position went to Igor “makar0n” Makarenko from White Army—his career also includes representing the Ukrainian national team at the IESF WEC 2024.

Kirill “Pankrattt” Shinkar and Daniil “RISE” Lizon were named substitutes. Vitaliy “FreeStyle” Belinsky served as the team’s head coach.

The UESF Summarized Ukraine’s Performance in the ENC Qualifiers

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang qualifiers marked the final stage of the Ukrainian national team’s qualification for the Esports Nations Cup. During preparations for the competition, the UESF served as the official National Team Partner, responsible for forming Ukraine’s rosters in nine disciplines and organizing their participation in regional qualifiers.

UESF CEO Andriy Gryshchenko singled out the MLBB team’s performance. He emphasized that the Ukrainians’ path to the ENC was not an easy one, and the decisive series proved to be particularly intense.

“This is an important victory for the Ukrainian national team in the regional qualifiers. It was a journey filled with fierce battles and a thrilling grand final. I want to thank the team for all their hard work,” Gryshchenko said.

The Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) is developing the Ukrainian esports ecosystem and representing the country on the international stage. The organization hosts national competitions, collaborates with teams at various levels, and works to develop local infrastructure. Maksym Krippa is the president of the UESF.

However, fans will have to wait longer than planned for the main tournament. The Esports Nations Cup has been postponed to November 2027 due to the situation in the Middle East. The organizers made the decision to reschedule the event after consulting with investors.
