Team Liquid is forced to start the new season with a different roster than it had planned. The organization announced that Roland \u201cultimate\u201d Tomkovyak will play for the team at the season\u2019s first tournament\u2014BLAST Bounty Season 2<\/strong>. This decision was prompted by BLAST\u2019s registration requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to these circumstances, the debut of Liquid\u2019s new sniper, Georgi \u201cJorko\u201d Mitev, has been postponed<\/strong>. The Bulgarian player recently took ultimate\u2019s spot but will not yet be able to play official matches with the new roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Liquid, this has been an unexpected setback ahead of the season opener. The team had planned to kick off this new phase following a challenging first half of the year, during which they came close to losing their chance to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Dust2.us<\/a>, changes to Liquid\u2019s roster may not be limited to the sniper position. According to the source, Johnny \u201cJT\u201d Theodosiou may join the team and replace Kamil \u201csiuhy\u201d \u0160karadek as captain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liquid explained that the return of ultimate is due to BLAST\u2019s<\/strong> rules for participation in the Wildcard stages<\/strong>. According to the organizers\u2019 requirements, a team\u2019s roster must include at least three players from the top 12 of the VRS rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was with this exact roster that Liquid met these criteria in December 2025. At that time, the team consisted of Guy \u201cNertZ\u201d Iluz, Kit \u201cNAF\u201d Markovic, Jonathan \u201cEliGE\u201d Yablonovsky, Kamil \u201csiuhy\u201d Shkaradek, and Roland \u201cultimate\u201d Tomkovyak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, BLAST Bounty Season 2 will be yet another tournament in which Liquid will compete with a transitional roster.
