Chornobyl Mine-Free Zone: UNITED24 and GSC Game World aim to raise $100,000

UNITED24together with GSC Game World — the studio of Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa — launched a charity raffle. Campaign participants will be able to receive rare collectible items created within the framework of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 × UNITED24 collaboration.

The collection has a specific goal — $100,000 for humanitarian demining of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The funds will be directed through the appropriate UNITED24 direction to clean the territory from mines and other explosive objects.

Why is demining the Chornobyl zone necessary

After the Russian occupation, mined areas remained in the zone, which pose risks to Chornobyl workers and other specialists. This complicates scientific research, environmental protection work, and rapid response to emergencies, including forest fires.

Russian troops captured the Chornobyl NPP and the zone at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. After the territory was liberated, explosives were discovered there. Their neutralization is necessary so that specialists can work safely and services can respond more quickly to possible threats.

Ihor BezkaravaynyDeputy Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraineemphasized that demining the Chornobyl zone is primarily necessary for the safety of scientists and energy workers working there. It is especially important to create safe routes for fire and rescue teams so that they can respond more quickly to fires.

Volodymyr BaydaDirector of the Humanitarian Demining Centernoted that a new threat has been added to the consequences of the Chornobyl accident — mines and explosives left behind as a result of a full-scale war. According to him, the UNITED24 and GSC Game World campaign will help attract resources for the safe clearance of Ukrainian territories.

GSC Game World noted that Chornobyl is an important part of the cultural code of Ukraine and the heart of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gaming universe. The studio emphasized that they strive to use creativity to help the country in real ways, and thanks to a joint project with UNITED24, they want to make sure that the danger remains only in the game, and the Ukrainian land becomes safe.

UNITED24’s Humanitarian Demining direction provides Ukrainian sappers with the necessary modern equipment that helps clear territories of Russian mines and other explosives.

This is the second joint campaign between UNITED24 and GSC Game World. In 2025, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 joined the “Return the Light” initiative, which raised $120,000 for generators for Ukrainian schools.

What can you get for your donation

As part of a joint campaign by UNITED24 and GSC Game World, all contributions will go towards humanitarian demining of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Donors who donate from $10 to $100 will automatically get a chance to win limited items from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 × UNITED24 collection.
