Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer is no longer part of the Ninjas in Pyjamas active roster. The parties have agreed to end their collaboration, and the organization plans to fill the vacant spot on the roster with a new captain.
The decision was made as NIP was scouting the transfer market. It was previously reported that the Swedish club was looking for a new IGL, as well as a replacement for Roman “n0te” Hamza. At that time, it was also noted that Snappi was open to a change in role after nearly 20 years as a professional player. The Danish player himself has not yet commented on his departure.
Snappi had led NIP since early 2025, when he took over from Alejandro “alex” Masaneta. During this period, the team was unable to establish itself among the world’s top teams.
Ninjas in Pyjamas’ most notable achievement during Snappi’s tenure was reaching the quarterfinals of PGL Astana 2025. In addition, the team won Fragadelphia Las Vegas, HyperX Roman Imperium Cup VI, and Stake Ranked Episode 2.
However, the team lacked consistency at the top level. For most of Snappi’s time with Ninjas in Pyjamas, the team remained outside the top 20 in the VRS rankings.
Snappi himself was also unable to demonstrate his usual level of performance. The Danish IGL, who had previously stood out for his strong frags for a player in his role, averaged a rating of 0.83 against top-20 opponents.
