The Ukrainian Esports Federation, whose president is Maksym Krippa, announced the start of the fourth stage of the Ukrainian CS2 and Dota 2 Championship. This time, players in both disciplines will be able to register independently, even if they do not have a team. UESF will select a squad for them taking into account their level and roles. Cooperation with the Ukrainian Dota League, which has already helped form teams in previous stages, will also continue.
The federation spoke about the innovations of Stage 4 in its material.
Logitech G, one of the leading manufacturers of gaming peripherals in the world, became the partner of the fourth stage. The company’s equipment is used at the largest international esports tournaments. The partnership should strengthen interaction with the UESF audience and encourage players to participate in official competitions.
“The importance of such an event is very difficult to overestimate. Logitech G has been supporting Ukrainian esports for many years and today we are happy to announce this partnership. I also want to note the wonderful people who work with us from Logitech G. Who share our values, care about Ukrainian youth and move our common cause forward. I am sure that this is just the beginning of an even greater joint development story,” said UESF CEO Andriy Hryshchenko.
Teams from UC are making a name for themselves on the international stage
The previous stages have already yielded results not only within the Ukrainian championship. Teams that have passed through Stage 1–3 are gradually making themselves known internationally, and the tournament itself is becoming an entry point for new teams. Not the least role in the development of teams is played by the VRS status that UESF tournaments receive from the playoff stage.
Three stages — three teams that have left the Ukrainian championship and established themselves on the international stage. Stage 4 will give such a chance to the next participants.
In Dota 2, the situation is somewhat different: one team won the championship twice in a row under different names. To attract new players, UESF is betting on solo registration and partnership with the Ukrainian Dota League.
“The Ukrainian Dota League was created to support the Ukrainian Dota community. We are happy to support the initiative of the Ukrainian Championship and motivate our players to try their hand at competitions,” said UFL founder Oleksiy Bafadarov.
