French player Ali “hAdji” Hainous has announced his retirement from professional gaming. After many years on the Counter-Strike scene, he has decided to retire from active play, but he is not going to say goodbye to the game completely.
hAdji announced his decision on social media. According to him, after a long period dedicated to competitions and the desire to realize his goals, it was time to turn the page of the player’s career. At the same time, the French e-sportsman noted that he was considering the possibility of continuing his work in Counter-Strike already in the coaching staff.
More talk about hAdji began after his performances for the Envy academy. In February 2018, he got a chance to join the main team of the organization. In the following years, the Frenchman represented 3DMAX, LDLC, Falcons and Monte.
One of the most notable results of hAdji at a major LAN tournament was his performance with Envy at CAC 2018. Then the team finished the competition in 3-4th place.
In March 2024, hAdji left 3DMAX, after which he returned to Monte twice. He also played for DRILLAS, and in October 2025, together with Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk, he launched his own project without an organization.
The Frenchman’s last notable performance was in the July tournament as part of the Moroccan national team. The team won the open qualification of the Esports Nations Cup, and hAdji’s partners in the team were Adil “ScreaM” Benrlit and Nabil “Nivera” Benrlit.
Despite the end of his playing career, hAdji has not lost interest in Counter-Strike and competitions. Now he wants to use the accumulated experience, hard work and passion for the game in a different role – on the coaching staff of a professional team.
