NAVI wrapped up their run at the EPL Masters I Dota 2 tournament on a high note—the team emerged as the tournament champions without dropping a single map to their opponents. In the grand final, “Born to Win” faced off against Level UP and closed out the series with a 3–0 victory.
The Ukrainian team entered the competition during the playoffs. Their debut match against Zero Tenacity ended in a convincing 2–0 victory for NAVI. The team then continued its run through the bracket, defeating Rune Eaters by the same score.
NAVI’s next opponent was Level UP. In the upper bracket final, the Ukrainians once again left their opponents no chance, securing their second 2-0 victory of the tournament. It was this match that determined the lineup for the grand final.
However, Level UP was unable to avenge their earlier loss. In the decisive series, NAVI controlled the flow of the game on all three maps and finished the tournament with a convincing 3-0 victory.
Thus, “Born to Win” went through EPL Masters I without losing a single map. For first place, the team added $50,000 to its prize pool.
NAVI, owned by Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa, continues to develop its rosters across various esports disciplines. The organization is currently competing at the Esports World Cup in Paris, where its teams are vying for championship titles and substantial prize money. NAVI’s Dota 2 roster did not qualify for the EWC this year but continues to compete in other international tournaments.
