The Ukrainian Premier League is getting its own weekly show for in-depth analysis of the league’s events. The Maincast Sport TV channel has announced the launch of a new analytical program, “UPL Evening.” Viewers will see the first episode on August 3 at 8:00 p.m.
The show’s format goes beyond simply summarizing the round’s results. Each episode will discuss the most notable and controversial events in Ukrainian football, analyze matches, break down teams’ tactical decisions, and discuss refereeing. Special attention will be given to transfer news and other topics that attract the most attention in the soccer community.
According to Vitaliy Volochay, co-founder of the media company Maincast, the impetus for creating “UPL Evening” was the success of another company project—the basketball show “NBA Evening.”
“Following the success of our basketball show ‘NBA Evening,’ we decided to give the same attention to our very own Ukrainian Premier League. We’re creating this show not only for those who have long been avid followers of the UPL, but also for those who, for whatever reason, have never watched it or have watched it very little—just as we did with ‘NBA Evening.’ “UPL Evening” will feature everything that made “NBA Evening” unique: interesting and dynamic segments, and guests who are equally well-versed in the intricacies of the game and know how to keep the conversation engaging and original,” Volochay noted.
The debut episode will air on August 3 at 8:00 p.m. You can watch “UPL Evening” on the Maincast Sport TV channel, on the maincast.tv platform, and on the Maincast YouTube channel.
The project’s creators expect the show to become a regular recap of each UPL round. Its audience is expected to include not only long-time fans of the Ukrainian championship but also viewers who are just beginning to take an interest in national soccer.
Maincast Sport is part of the ARS Capital holding company owned by businessman Maksym Krippa. The channel became the first Ukrainian broadcaster to provide live commentary on NBA and Spanish basketball league games directly from the venues. At the same time, Maincast Sport’s activities are not limited to broadcasts: the team also produces its own analytical shows, podcasts, and entertainment programs centered around sporting events.
