GSC Game World, Burny Games, and others: Which Ukrainian studios will showcase their games at gamescom 2026

gamescom 2026—one of the largest events in the global gaming industry—will take place August 26–30 in Cologne, Germany. For the fourth consecutive year, Ukraine will have its own national booth, “Games From Ukraine,” at the exhibition, where domestic B2B companies and independent studios will showcase their new games, developments, and technological solutions to international visitors.

VG Entertainment, Games Gathering, and Burny Games are organizing the Ukrainian pavilion. This year’s pavilion aims to demonstrate that even amid the war, the Ukrainian gaming industry continues to grow, enter the global market, and adopt cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.

Where to Find Ukrainian Games at the Expo and Who Will Be Showcasing Them

At gamescom 2026, Ukrainian developers will be represented in two main exhibition areas.

In the B2B segment (Hall 4.1, Booth D-011g), GSC Game World, Flexus Games (creators of the viral hit Dear Passengers), Mobihunter, Mind Studios Games, AB Games, PlayToMax, and the team working on Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator will showcase their projects. GSC Game World is drawing the most attention—a Kyiv-based studio known worldwide for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Cossacks franchises. Following the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the developer has strengthened its position on the international stage and remains one of the most recognizable representatives of the Ukrainian game development industry.

Since 2023, GSC Game World has been part of the portfolio of Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa. His gaming and esports portfolio also includes NAVI, Burny Games, and Maincast.

Special attention will be given to the indie section (Hall 10.2, Booth F-021g), where independent Ukrainian studios will showcase their own projects. Among them are Warfactory, Steel Core, RACE: Rocket Arena Car Extreme, Floralis, Age After Age, and Atom RPG 2.

Another major Ukrainian project—Metro 2039 from the Kyiv-based studio 4A Gameswill also be showcased at gamescom 2026.

Games From Ukraine, Indie Area, and charitable initiatives by Ukrainian developers

This year, Ukraine will be represented at gamescom in several formats, combining business activities with the presentation of its own game projects. The Games From Ukraine pavilion will serve as the main hub for professional networking, meetings with partners, and the development of international contacts. At the same time, in the Indie Area, independent Ukrainian studios will have the opportunity to showcase their games directly to exhibition visitors.

In addition to showcasing games, gamescom 2026 will also serve as a platform to support charitable initiatives. Burny Games announced on LinkedIn that it will host its annual networking event during the exhibition. As part of the event, a charity auction will be organized, with proceeds going to support the Gamedev Under Bombs initiative.

Lots will include autographed collectibles related to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, handmade items crafted from repurposed military materials, Ukrainian books, artwork, and jewelry. All of these items were donated by friends of Burny Games, and the funds raised during the auction will be used to help members of the Ukrainian gaming industry who have been affected by the war.
