BC.Game and s1mple won the Elisa Esports BreakOut Series 1

BC.Game were crowned champions of the Elisa Esports Breakout Series 1, defeating ENCE in the grand final with a score of 2–0—13–11 on Mirage and 16–13 on Nuke. The prize pool for the Finnish tournament totaled $17,163.

For BC.Game, this tournament marked the first test for their new roster. Magisk took over as captain, and the reunited Mongolian duo of mzinho and Senzu also joined the roster. Due to the roster changes, the team started the tournament with a 0-0 record in the VRS.

In the group stage, BC.Game remained undefeated in the round-robin format, climbing to 150th place in the world rankings. In the semifinals, the team defeated SINQU, with Senzu and Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev playing key roles in the match—their individual ratings were 1.84 and 1.76, respectively.

In the decisive match for the title, BC.Game faced off against ENCE. The Finnish team also went undefeated in the group stage and defeated HAVU in the semifinals. However, BC.Game proved to be the stronger team in the grand final.

A Recap of the Final

ENCE got off to a strong start in the final on Mirage, quickly taking the lead on their map pick. Despite an even start, Senzu and mzinho were BC.Game’s top performers. The Finnish team managed to capitalize on several mistakes by their opponents and pushed the score to 11–6, putting them one step away from victory on the first map.

However, BC.Game didn’t let ENCE complete a comeback on Mirage. The Mongolian duo significantly stepped up their defense, after which the team won seven rounds in a row and snatched the victory—13–11.

On Nuke, BC.Game once again had to fight back after a rough start. The team seized the initiative and ended the first half with a 7–5 lead, and after the side switch, they solidified it with a win in the pistol round and the subsequent rounds.

Despite their young roster and loss of map control, ENCE didn’t let their opponent close out the series easily. The Finnish team emerged victorious from several tense round closers and gradually closed the gap. Ultimately, ENCE tied the score at 12–12 and sent the map into overtime.

In the extra rounds, BC.Game proved to be the stronger team. They won two crucial clutch rounds to secure the necessary lead, then closed out Nuke with a 16–13 victory. Thus, BC.Game finished the final with a 2–0 score and claimed the championship title.

Senzu was named the tournament’s MVP, finishing seven maps with an average rating of 1.48. Thanks to their victory at the Elisa Esports Breakout Series 1, BC.Game also significantly improved their standing in the VRS—the team climbed to 84th place and entered the top 100.

BC.Game’s next challenge will be the Esports World Cup Open Qualifier. It will take place August 7–9 in Paris and will bring together up to 128 teams competing for four spots in the main event, which features a $2 million prize pool.
