NAVI will play in the decisive match of the EPL Masters II. The team secured a spot in the final ahead of schedule after GamerLegion withdrew from today’s match. The European team decided to focus on qualifying for BLAST Slam IX, which is why the match against “Born to Win” did not take place.
NAVI reached the final undefeated. They began their tournament run with a match against Power Rangers. The best-of-three series ended in a decisive 2-0 victory for the Ukrainian team. Interestingly, former NAVI captain Zayac was playing for Power Rangers.
In the next round, “Born to Win” faced Klim Sani4. This time, they had to play all three maps to secure the win, but NAVI once again proved to be the stronger team, winning 2–1. The Klim Sani4 roster consists of 423, squad1x, mangekyou, swedenstrong, and Rein.
The NAVI team entered the tournament as the winner of the first EPL Masters series, so it now has a chance to claim the title for the second time in a row.
The total prize pool for EPL Masters II is $100,000. The tournament winner will earn $50,000, and the runner-up will receive $25,000. An additional $13,000 is awarded for third place, and the fourth-place team will receive $7,000. Teams finishing in 5th and 6th place will each earn $2,500. No prize money is awarded to participants finishing in 7th through 16th place.
Thus, NAVI needs to win just one more match to become EPL Masters champions for the second time in a row.
